Shalva Kiknavelidze Presents Report on Details of HPP Construction Impact to Local Population
Shalva Kiknavelidze, Technical Director of GOGC, presented the final report on the Environmental Impact Assessment of the construction of "Paravani HPP 1" and "Paravani HPP 2" hydropower plants to the population of Ninotsminda and Akhalkalaki.
GOGC conducted the complete feasibility study of the hydropower plants based on the agreement signed with the Government of Georgia and is providing information about each stage to the local population.
During the meetings, Shalva Kiknavelidze spoke in detail about the construction and its significance, and answered the residents' questions.
Implementation of the project by GOGC - construction of two HPPs on the Paravani River with a total installed capacity of 8 MW – will provide Georgia with an additional 50 million kWh of green energy.
