The Environmental Impact Assessment Report Was Discussed At Abasha And Senaki Municipalities.
The environmental impact assessment report for the construction of 29 km section of Abasha-Senaki gas pipeline was discussed in Abasha and Senaki on September 12 and 13.
During the meetings held at municipalities, GOGC representatives discussed gas supply, environmental impact, resettlement and other construction related policies.
After the discussion a special document is to be prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Environmental protection in order to receive permission for gas pipeline construction.
The construction of MM700 Abasha-Senaki pipeline is planned within the framework of the agreementpromoting energy security, signed between Georgian Government and the United States Agency of International Development (USAID). The pipeline construction will start in spring 2012.
