Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation bought two state-of the-art instruments
08 February, 2009
Within the framework of UNDP program Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation bought two state-of-the-art instruments: ground resistance tester and database server.
A ground Resistance Tester Megger DET4TCR/2 is an instrument designed for measuring earth electrode resistance and soil resistivity, namely, anti-corrosion pipeline protection systems located near high-voltage transmission lines or under the underground cable crossings. The instrument was transferred to the technical-engineering department.
The database server is used for geo-informational systems. The system will make the control of existing pipelines and will enhance the elimination of damages on the pipelines. The device is also used for designing new routes.
