24 December, 2007
The rehabilitation of a 700 meter section and construction of a 6 km section of the Tsiteli Khidi-Tsalka-Alastani gaspipeline aimed to supply the Akhalkalaki region with natural gas have been completed.
The section was funded by GOGC and constructed by GGTC together with its sub-contractor “New-Energy” Two distribution points have been installed to deliver gas to seven villages of Akhalkalaki.
Akhalkalaki gasification was almost impossible as the construction of Tsiteli-Khidi-Tsakla-Alastani section of the main gas pipeline was stopped in the 90’s. However, the construction of a 6 km section will finally make the pipeline comissioning possible.
