Gas Pipeline Theft Attempt

Some unidentified people attempted to steal pipes of the main gas pipeline.
On October 7, some unidentified people attempted to steal pipes on the 98-kilometer section of the Tbilisi-Sukhumi gas pipeline. During the attempt the pipe was under pressure and it lead to fire.
Georgian Gas Transportation Company informed the police about the case. The company has already extinguished the fire and repair works will have been completed by tomorrow morning.
The incident did not create any problems to natural gas delivery to Zugdidi population.
