GOGC prepared the environmental impact assessment for the rehabilitation of the North-South gas pipeline

GOGC prepared environmental impact assessment within the framework of the North-South gas pipeline rehabilitation project phase II. On 27 June public discussion will be held in the corporation.

The second stage of the North –South gas pipeline rehabilitation is funded by MCC and GOGC.

Millennium Challenge fund Georgia is executing $49, 5 ml energy infrastructure rehabilitation program. The implementation of the program started in 2006 and will complete in 2009.

The North-South pipeline rehabilitation project is one of the components of a $44, 5 ml project. The pipeline was built in the 70s of the 20th century and it has not been rehabilitated since then.

The pipeline expanding from Georgian-Russian border to Georgian Armenian Boarder supplies Georgia and Armenia with natural gas.
