International Energy Conference was launched in Baku

International Energy Conference - "Oil and Gas, Caspian oil processing and petrochemistry" was launched today. The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev is partner of the conference. The conference is officially supported by the Ministry of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan and by the Azerbaijan State Oil Company.
At the same time approximately 400 companies from about 30 countries take part in the exhibition where Georgia is represented by GOGC.
The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev visited the exhibition before the launch of the conference. He also expressed his interest in stand of GOGC and watched the video where gas pipeline operation desk was presented.
This desk is the very first computerized gas pipeline remote operation and control system in the region. With installed operation system at central dispatching office the dispatchers of the Georgian Gas Transportation Company can instantly register gas flow pressure in pipeline in any part of Georgia.
The 16th international conference continues up to June 4th, 2009. 450 delegates from 23 countries of the world will participate in it, such as BP, Itochu, OMV, Gas International GMBH, SOCAR, StatoilHydro ASA, TOTAL, TRAO
