BP Marks 30 Years of Operations in Georgia with a Milestone Anniversary Event
The company BP celebrated its 30th anniversary of activity in Georgia with a milestone anniversary event.
The invited guests were addressed by Giovanni Cristofoli, BP’s Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, Ayten Hajiyeva, the company's local Head, Farhan Aliyev, CEO of SOCAR Midstream Operation LLC, Inga Pkhaladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. The speakers reviewed the major achievements of the past three decades, highlighted key projects, and emphasized BP's vital contribution to regional energy cooperation.
During the event, Ekaterine Sisauri expressed her gratitude to the British multinational's team for their long-standing, successful presence in Georgia. She specifically highlighted the company's role in introducing high international standards, enhancing operational security, and fostering the professional development of local personnel. Furthermore, she noted that numerous strategic initiatives have been successfully implemented with BP's support. In particular, the successful operation of major regional pipelines – Baku-Supsa (WREP), Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline and South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) - has played a pivotal role in strengthening Georgia's position as a reliable transit corridor and bolstering the country's energy security.
The anniversary event was attended by the executives of GOGC, as well as representatives from other government agencies and the business sector.
