Georgia celebrates Energy Workers’ Day at Zahesi dam
Hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, this was the 24th annual celebration of Energy Workers’ Day. This year, the event took place on the historically and symbolically significant grounds of the Zemo Avchala HPP dam. Ekaterine Sisauri, General Director of GOGC, attended the event alongside other key sector leaders.
Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili congratulated the sector representatives and expressed gratitude for their vital role in maintaining national energy security. During the speeches, emphasis was placed on the strategic importance of energy as a leading sector of the Georgian economy and its prospects for development.
As part of the official program, Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili presented dynamic sector workers with special awards for outstanding contributions to the country's energy landscape. Among the award recipients was Grigol Kapanadze, Head of Gas Service, Commercial Department at GOGC.
