GOGC to Construct New 70-km Section of East-West Main Gas Pipeline
GOGC is planning the construction of a new 70-km section of "Khashuri-Zestaponi" East-West Main Gas Pipeline. This project is designed to ensure the continuous and stable supply of natural gas to the regions of Western Georgia.
The construction works will be implemented in two phases: Phase I - construction of an initial 36-km section and Phase II - completion of the remaining section of the pipeline. As part of the project’s first phase, GOGC has already prepared the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the 36-km Khashuri-Zestaponi section. This report has been submitted to the National Environmental Agency for further review and decision-making.
The construction will be carried out by a contractor company selected through a formal tender process, in full compliance with national legislation.
The development of this new section of the main gas pipeline is being executed in accordance with the 10-Year Development Plan for the Georgian Natural Gas Transmission Network.
