Gardabani TPP-2 is already supplying electricity to the unified energy system of Georgia in the experimental commissioning and comprehensive testing mode. Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation invested up to $ 180 mln. in construction of 230 MW combined cycle, modern thermal power plant equipped with the newest technologies. It construction phase continued from February 2018 till December 2019 and will generate electricity will full capacity by 2020 winter season.

It’s the first time in Georgia when the new TPP is equipped with the so-called
