GOGC Constructs a New 300-meter Section of "Kutaisi-Sokhumi" Main Gas Pipeline

Shalva Kiknavelidze, Technical Director of GOGC, inspected reconstruction works of the "East-West" main gas pipeline "Kutaisi-Sokhumi" in Khobi municipality, on the territory of village Bia.

"Kutaisi-Sokhumi" main gas pipeline supplies natural gas to Samegrelo region. Replacement of the 300-meter corroded section of the pipeline is being carried out within the framework of GOGC’s preliminarily developed rehabilitation plan for main gas pipelines.

The ongoing construction has not disrupted the continuous supply of gas to the region’s consumers. The works are performed by GOGC using its own resources.

It is noteworthy that maintenance and rehabilitation of gas pipelines is one of the main directions of GOGC activities.
