10 March, 2012
Gas Transportation to Armenia has temporarily been suspended as a landslide damaged the 114 km of Kazahk- Saguramo 1000 mm section of the Main Gas Pipeline in the vicinities of Mamkoda Settlement.

Representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia and GOGC inspected the damaged section of the pipeline.
The damage on the trunk pipeline which connects Russia to Armenia was detected yesterday at about 20:00 p.m. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources pointed out that the repair works are underway and gas transportation to Armenia will presumably resume on Tuesday.
Emergency brigade of Georgian Gas Transportation Company (GGTC) is working under 24- hour working schedule to repair the damage caused by the landslide and the transportation will resume in a few days. In addition, the suspension does not create any problems to population.
