Ekaterine Sisauri Participated in a Meeting Held in Athens
Ekaterine Sisauri, General Director of GOGC, attended a meeting held in Athens within the framework of the 6th Ministerial of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC).
The meeting took place between Inga Pkhaladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, and Tommy Joyce, Acting Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy, and it focused on discussing the ongoing processes in the energy sectors of the two countries.
The discussion covered the potential cooperation between Georgia and the USA, as well as the major infrastructure projects that are being implemented or planned in the energy sector.
The parties extensively reviewed issues of ensuring energy security, and in this context, the role of Georgia was emphasized as a reliable partner in the region for energy projects, which ensures transportation of South Caucasus energy resources to EU markets.
The importance of the country's participation in the development of the Green Energy Corridor was also noted.
At the end of the meeting, plans were outlined for the continuation and deepening of cooperation in the energy sector.
