Gardabani CCPP

Project Company – Gardabani TPP LLC co-owned by:

Partnership Fund (49%) and the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (51%).

EPC – contractor company is “Calik Enerji” – a Turkish energy company of the Calik Holding (Total experience in constructing Power Plants globally, added up to 3 200 MW.)

The supervision of the construction is held by an international engineering company – ILF Consulting Engineers.

Total investment – 220 mn US Dollars (funded by proceeds from GOGC’s Eurobond placement).

Efficiency Ratio – 56%

The number of employees on the construction up to this point is: Total 607, out of which 421 local.

The Power Plant exploitation date is – autumn 2015.

The main parts of the power plant are produced by the following companies:

Gas turbines 2 (75 MW each) - General Electric,

Steam turbine 1 (80 MW) - Doosan Skoda,

HRSG - Nooter Eriksen,

Transformators - Hyundai.

“Gardabani TPP” LLC and the Turkish construction company “Calik Enerji” have a legal agreement for constructing Combined Cycle Power Plant with a capacity of 220 MW in Gardabani, contract is worth 213 mn US Dollars. The contract is based on lump sum principal. The contractor company (Calik Enerji) takes full responsibility in front of the client company (LLC “Gardabani TPP”) for a construction, installation and erection works.

By January 2015, 70% of the Power Plant construction is completed. 181 mn US Dollars have already been paid for imported equipment and materials. The remaining materials will be imported during the first quarter of 2015.

The construction is planned to be operational by October, 2015. Currently, the construction is progressing according to the above scheduled completion date.
